Today my god-daughter Chloe’s school had a Dapper Day. Dapper Day is an event where everyone dresses up in their “Sunday Best” and is usually met with a vintage vibe. Dapper Day’s seem to be getting popular with schools, Disney parks, and for events/parties. There is an upcoming Dapper Day this spring at Disneyland. Ian and I attended the fall event in September, and had a fabulous time.
I was really honored when Chloe called and asked if I would help with her hair and make up for today. Chloe has really long, and super thick hair, so it would have taken a really long time to get it all in pin curls, so instead we used some rollers to give it body, and then rolled the front section of her hair into bumper bangs. We finished her hair with a black scarf.
For her make up, we started out with Benefit’s The POREfessional and followed with a drug store foundation that Chloe brought over, and I really don’t remember the brand (sorry!). On the cheeks we used Nar’s blush Torrid. We set it all with Mac’s Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder.
On the eyes I used an eye shadow pallet from Anastasia of Beverly Hill’s. We also used their eyebrow powder and gel . Eyeliner is Mac’s Fluidline in Blacktrack (which Chloe did solo and did a great job!) For her lashes we used Ardell Demi Wispies. We finished the look with a bold red lip with LÓreal Paris Evangeline’s red.
